Competitions

DEBATE
Engineers are often required to evaluate and argue for or against a proposal on short notice. In the debate category, competitors are tasked with creating an argument for or against an undisclosed proposal in a limited amount of time.

RE-Engineering
Re-Engineering is the act of improving an existing design or concept of engineering whether it is by adding new functionalities or by improving upon its original purpose.

programming
Students are challenged to produce Industry Level Software along with the required documentation to solve a problem.

communications
Students must present on a topic that encompasses the social, economic and environment impact.
Students must describe an engineering topic in terms that the general public can understand.

Consulting
Competitors will be given a real world multi-faceted engineering problem that affects our world today and will be required to develop a solution to satisfy a client’s needs.

Innovative Design
Competitors will combine their creativity and knowledge to develop a new product or service that will fulfill a need or improve on an existing design. Competitors will then present their final product to the judges.

junior Design
First and Second year students are given a real-world problem and must develop a solution. Under a limited amount of time and with limited materials, competitors are tasked with creating a practical design solution to the relevant issue and presenting it to the judges.

senior Design
Students are given a real-world problem and must develop a solution. Under a limited amount of time and with limited materials, competitors must produce a feasible and practical design to a relevant issue given limited time and resources. and must present it to the judges
